Cambridge Education in the Middle EastCambridge Education has recently finished successfully supporting the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates to evaluate schools in the northern Emirates. These schools had volunteered to participate in a pilot to establish the current standards of their educational system. The Ministry is keen to ensure that the quality of education in all its schools, both state and private, meets the required standards.A team of Cambridge Education evaluators visited a wide range of schools, including kindergarten, primary and secondary, in the five northern Emirates of Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah , Umm al-Quwain, Fujairah and Ajman. The team were made very welcome by the schools, and the staff were keen to share their ideas and experiences with their visitors. Good professional dialogue ensured that the process was developmental and well received. This work has provided a positive beginning for the whole process of school accreditation in the United Arab Emirates. |
