TTA and Cambridge Education team up in Australia

Cambridge Education has expanded its education capability in Australia through a strategic alliance with education specialist Teacher Training Australia (TTA).

This alliance is another step towards consolidating Cambridge Education and parent company Mott MacDonald’s presence in Australia, and follows the acquisition of Australian firm Hughes Trueman.

TTA is an independent Australian organisation established to provide high quality professional development courses for Australian teachers, using an innovative, practitioner-led model. Since forming in 2005 it has run over 500 courses across all curriculum areas with participants from all educational sectors, at both primary and secondary school level. The company is currently working in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland

Cambridge Education will work to develop the alliance’s presence in Australia – for both TTA and Cambridge Education developed services and products - and to open new markets for TTA’s approach overseas.

Richard Birch, Cambridge Education’s retiring managing director, will move to Australia next year to focus on this new business. He welcomes the alliance: “TTA have an excellent track record facilitating the delivery of teacher developed professional development. They share Cambridge Education’s aim to provide high quality, practical services for our clients. Together we can offer a unique range of services in the Australian education sector and further afield. ”
