  • I found the course very practical, with helpful and supportive tutoring, and it identified ways forward for me to develop the senior leaders and teachers in my school. (Monica Paines, Headteacher, Long Ditton Infant & Nursery School)(The trainer's) teaching style allowed for plenty of reflection and engagement with colleagues. Very useful folder of materials - logically laid out. It actually exceeded my expectations - I felt challenged in a positive way and now feel much more equipped to observe/feedback effectively.
Gemma Corby, Central Foundation Girl's School
  • Fast paced, excellent rapport with audience. (Materials) already used in observations in school. Fully prepared me as a senior leader to perform effective observations. It was the most challenging, yet useful course I have ever attended. It will change my practice in school without doubt! I would unequivocally recommend this course to all senior leaders.
Andrew Kay, ST John's CE 'Aided' Primary School
  • The training really sharpened the focus on my observations and enabled me to share, practice and discuss with colleagues. I found it really challenged my thinking and understanding. Would love to send all staff on this training
Rachel Orr, Holy Trinity Rosehill Primary School
  • Fabulous confidence growth in lesson observations
Catherine Jones, Thorney Close Primary School

    Siqa Raja, Stanton Bridge School
  • Effective classroom observation is an excellent programme. Set within the Ofsted framework, the programme facilitates a clear focus on the specific learning and progress taking place in lessons. The materials are explicit and support opportunities to discuss and reflect with fellow participants. The process of visiting other schools and carrying out paired observations is really valuable in helping to clarify and justify outcomes. This course is great in building confidence in every aspect of lesson observation giving plenty of guidance for effective developmental feedback. Cambridge Education have designed a first class course led by highly effective and experienced presenters. It is an integral part of our CPD offer to schools within our partnership.
    Denise Danielsen, Chantry Community Academy
  • I just wanted to say a massive thank you for the three day course I have just been on. It and you were very inspiring and rather than dreading Ofsted and I am looking forward to it. I have been on many courses insix years of teaching and this one was the best, by far so thank you. I look forward to implementing the things I learnt from you.
    Ian Nicholls, Gallions Primary School
  • It's important to give a context into the delivery of classroom teaching and learning by understanding from Ofsted's point of view.
Olu Sodeinde, Central Foundation Girl's School
  • From my own perspective I can honestly say how impressed I have been with Cambridge Education and particularly the consultant. From the very first meeting, it has been a professional, responsive and painless experience!!
  • As a commissioner of services, it has been so refreshing to work with an organisation that doesn't need me to chase them for responses or request additional information - everything was in place or provide by your admin. - thank you!
Liz Pickford, Mid Tendring Education Trust
  • The introduction of performance related pay prompted our cluster of schools to source some lesson observation training for our senior leaders. We wanted to ensure all staff were clear that their colleagues observing lessons and evaluating teaching and learning, were accredited and the messages would be consistent.
  • The training was very well received by all attendees and the impact in school has been fantastic. It made leaders consider their own practice, in addition to considering their effectiveness as a leader, to secure improvements beyond their own classroom. I am now confident that all staff are getting a consistent message and that the feedback is accurate in order to increase the standards of teaching and learning across the whole school.
  • We are now able to offer school to school support and moderation, knowing that there is consistency not only within our own schools, but within the cluster too.
  • We are delighted to have up-skilled our workforce and developed our succession planning strategy which helps to secure the future of our schools.
Natalie Fountain, St. Paul's CE Primary School
  • It has a very good balance of training days and hands on learning. Both are very powerful tools to improve judgements. This is my second time on the course, the first time was seven years ago. Both times have proved very good and enabled me to be a more evaluative leader. The trainer led with a good combination of focus, pace and humour.
Gareth Linwood, Moss Bury Primary School and Nursery
  • The guidance and materials were up to date - really useful to know the latest requirements. Three days were a good number to give a chance to become familiar with materials and the chance for discussion.
Judith Heale, Wembdon St George's Church of England Primary School
  • I have been able to use what I have learned at school, practise my skills and coach others. The consultant is a great trainer, very approachable and gives practical tips. This course has already moved my whole staff on. It's worth being out of school for.
Lynne Saint, Blyton C. Laughton Church of England School
  • The best training I have had which has had a profound impact on my leadership. I would recommend it because of the high quality potential impact on school improvement.
Frances Topa, St Gregory's RC Middle School
  • The one course that has/will change practice in school more than any other that I have attended. A really useful, down-to-earth, common sense approach. It was invaluable.
Joy Luxford, St John Rigby RC Lower School
  • Having Ofsted in the middle of the course I found it absolutely invaluable. Not only did it increase my confidence, I felt quite able to find the evidence to support my judgement. The process of visiting other schools and then reflecting on our experience was really valuable.
Kathryn Aldous, Painters Ash Primary School
  • We were really pleased with our Ofsted report as you can imagine and wanted to thank you and your colleagues for all of your input.
  • The whole staff training events last year on lesson observation certainly played an important part in securing the outstanding grade for teaching and learning. I also think the intensivethree day workshops with the senior team helped to standardise our judgements and to make sure that we were all clear about what constitutes high quality teaching and learning.
  • Over the last three years we have used a number of different consultants to lead on our subject reviews but the ones led by CE have really been the most reliable, perceptive and useful and we will certainly be wanting to work with you on more over the next few years as we begin our rolling programme again.
Wendy Tomes, Principal, Sidney Stringer Academy
  • A lot of the work we did with Cambridge Education helped us tremendously in our preparation for Ofsted, so many thanks for your support; we are still very pleased!
Claire Turpin, Senior Vice Principal, Sidney Stringer Academy
  • Yesterday’s Effective classroom observation course was thought provoking and really helpful and every member of senior leadership team has come away with an action plan . Thank you to the trainer for his flexibility - much appreciated. I also attended the Performance management course in September – it was fantastic- great clarity around a difficult area in today’s climate – I came away with positive models of ways forward. Both courses provided the school with outstanding course materials and trainers and well worth the outlay.
Teresa Spencer, Deputy Head Teacher, Briarwood School
